Organisational Structure
The organisational structure of ICAR–National Research Centre for Makhana, Darbhanga, is headed by the निदेशक, who is responsible for the overall administration, research leadership and functioning of the Centre.
The Director works in coordination with two important institutional bodies:
- Institute Management Committee, which supports administrative planning, institutional management and policy-related decisions.
- Institute Research Council, which guides, reviews and monitors the Centre’s research programmes and scientific activities.
Under the supervision of the Director, the Centre’s operations are organised into three main areas:
Administration:
The Administration section manages establishment-related matters, personnel records, office procedures, procurement, correspondence and other administrative responsibilities required for the smooth functioning of the Centre.
Finance:
The Finance section is responsible for budgeting, expenditure management, financial records, accounts, audits and compliance with ICAR and government financial regulations.
Supporting Units:
The Supporting Unit provides essential technical, academic and institutional support to the Centre’s research and administrative activities. It includes:
- Rajbhasha Prakoshth
- Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit (AKMU)
- Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU)
- Library
- कार्यशाला
- Incubation Centre
- Priority-Setting, Monitoring and Evaluation Cell (PME Cell)
- Human Resource Development Cell (HRD Cell)
Together, these committees, sections and supporting units work under the leadership of the Director to ensure effective research management, institutional administration, technology transfer, capacity building and overall development of NRC Makhana.
